Visitors must first navigate several underwater caves before reaching the surface of a river, which flows into a lake. Mists cover the entire area, making it extremely difficult to navigate. | Visitors must first navigate several underwater caves before reaching the surface of a river, which flows into a lake. A strong undercurrent also flows under these waters, and lost adventurers may find themselves swept out of the temple by it. | A strong undercurrent also flows under these waters, and lost adventurers may find themselves swept out of the temple by it.
'''Wrogroth''' | |||
An enormous creature of pale-white flesh and spines heaves and gurgles, lording
over a round chamber. | |||
Towering five metres into the air, the round blubbery form of a wrogroth spans
approximately seven metres in diameter, the creature little more than a giant
writhing pile of white, slimy flesh. Long spines jut out from the base of its
quivering body, ends dripping a viscous black fluid that bubbles and steams as
it hits the floor, eroding small pits into the ground.
The wrogroth has an air of extreme strength.
He weighs about 1250 pounds.
You see nothing in it. | |||
The lair of the wrogroth.
Circular in shape, this room seems more like a dungeon than any sort of living
space. The walls are bare and cold, bloody splotches covering much of their
surfaces. In the centre of the chamber, a circular pattern of holes is worn into
the floor, as if acid were allowed to drip onto the ground. A giant,
greenish-coloured orb hangs from the top of the domed ceiling, providing an
unnerving light to the already-eerie surroundings. |
