Requiem for an Icon

The pillar which scraped the sky like a spire Of coalesced, scintillating fire. She could not withstand Mhaldor's ire The Crucible of Flames A Warlock's blessing, her foes aghast A scant half-century her timeline pass'd Before the day she breathed her last The Crucible of Flames Arrayed about the Icon, we fought Practicing what our Shinigami taught 'Twas to no avail, we found, distraught The Crucible of Flames The iconic shards, they came in droves To counter Evil's vibes, blades and groves Yet with death she seemed inevitably betrothed The Crucible of Flames Our blood reflected upon Nishnatoban sky That fateful moment, her end was nigh A dreadful clamour drew our eye As she released a final sigh A tearful goodbye To the Crucible of Flames Her halls now wreathed in deepest silence The scarred walls testament to the violence Which drove a city to avenge, with incense The Crucible of Flames And now far past her final hour We still reminisce of her sacred power For come rain, hail, sleet or shower We shall remember The Crucible of Flames
