Lycopods

Native to Mhaldor Isle, lycopods are surviving mutations of the plants that were ravaged by the exterminating red fog. Thick-stemmed with razor sharp leaves and a vine evolved just for tripping and entangling their victims, they are highly aggressive and carnivorous in nature, attacking and even eating many a hapless newbie as they attempt to travel between Mhaldor and the main continent.

They also play a part in Mhaldorian cuisine, where they are served as a salad at the Worm and Grub and their juices used as part of a local cocktail at the Gilded Corset.
