Crows

Crows are jet-black corvids, intelligent and a bit rude. They have ugly 'caw-caw' cries which echo wherever they roam. The dark scavenger birds could be scary carrion-eaters but they have been known to hunt insects, eggs, and worms. They mostly like corn, as anxious farmers of any stripe can tell you. They happened to be a lesser symbol of Keresis and are tamed as messenger birds of Ashtan.
