Tick tock
Gears clicked and clock parts whined, as the mechanical man stirred from dreams
of dawn and dusk. He felt a shuddering in the Isle as a part of its tower began
to spin. It fell silent for a time, then mechanisms sprang to life as Tick began
to feel what mortals would call 'excitement'. Its dream would finally come true.

Machines churned and blades flashed, as the upper hallways were filled with the
sound of 'work'. Artificial bodies were crushed and sliced, as they were
processed in the gut of the machine. The man above heard all these and smiled.
Dingis knew that his answers would be answered after all these years.
Tick tock
His mechanical eyes took in the sight of a newcomer. His hollow voice began to
plead. His hopes began to rise, like the sun he had dreamed about. The newcomer
nodded, and motioned him to follow. With heavy steps Tick left, anticipation at
hand.

His eyes opened wide, as the newcomer spoke. The nixie gave in, to guide him to
her brother. The newcomer poured dust into the essence of dolls. A strengthening
of memory, the brother had said, to converse with his creator in crystal clear
hue.
Tick tock
Its eyes beheld paradise, as the sun rose up high. Tick could have sworn that he
was going to cry. Producing a magnet from his gear-filled body, he told his new
'friend' that he needed it no more.

Reading the ink-stained story of his forgotten sin of old, Dingis wept bitter
tears as he remembered his crime. Stepping to the window, and praying for
forgiveness, he leapt from the tower, to join his lost father.
