He sat beneath an ancient tree bound his heart and was set free A his worthy words remained unspoke Upon the day that Three Moons broke And though they may have soothed his heart those three words broke Three Moons apart. He strove to capture one last time those feelings, set in verse and rhyme that caused his poetry to flow in driving rain that drove him low And, with the vigilance that was his pride, For three words, set Three Moons aside Brangwen's greatest treason lay in wait upon the road that day the greatest blade in all the land was broke in Trenton's vengeful hand. But though it broke in Deis' hand, true 'Twas three words, broke Three Moons in two.
