A luminous circlet of inlaid mithril
Lingers on my head stubbornly
Memories of the once upon a time thrill
Of having You in my life.

I am naught to forget when you said farewell
From Your oaths, You did release me
Your voice rang with its usual swell
As You mused to set me free
You are gone now, a simple passing it seemed
Leave an Order slowly faltering without Your light.

Your presence cycles daily above city and wood
As you journey far above this world of bedlam
Parading--all knowing, all seeing, philosopher of good
Your light is felt from Mhaldor to Shallam
Yet you have never been so far
My heart is heavy despite your radiant touch.

The emptiness of Your absence taken for granted
Was dwarfed on that most horrid day
"Lady Lorielan has returned" shouted the masses
But Her news left us cold with shock
We were Your chosen, the radiant--and
Helpless to defend against your torture.

Lady Mithraea, can you hear me?
It is dusk again, and still we wait.
Your sphere disappears once again,
And I wonder how long until we will be too late?
We long for You, You are beyond our mortal reach,
But every day is a futile disgrace.

With every dawn, I close my eyes
And remember that fateful day
I stood before you to claim You as mine,
To pick you as my way.
Is today the day that you will return?
Or will you just fade, gone once more?
