Rising as much as fifty percent above the mountains around them, the Pillars of Heaven are easily the tallest mountains in the Vashnar range. These legendary peaks, located in the west-central section of the Vashnars, are where the Garden of the Gods resides. The mountains themselves are held upright only by the trunk of the world tree Yggdrasil, which grows upward through them. Constant blizzards atop this range ensure that only the hardiest of mortals ever see the gates of the Garden.
