A'issem is the chieftess of the Yrilauwe people in Aran'riod. She is a powerful warrior, and is clearly battle-hardened. She bears the mark of a blue feather on her forehead, signifying that she is the leader of the village. A'issem is not particularly receptive to outsiders who do not have a good reason for disturbing her.
