Aster Keep is the ancestral seat of the former Seleucarian province of Aster Malik.
History
Aster Malik was historically the possession of Pannelia Malik, one of the wives of Nicator, passed down through the generations.
For long years the ducal throne of Aster Malik had been filled by stalwart, true defenders of keep, town, and duchy. Supported by the inimitable arm of authority that was the Knightly Order of Aster Malik, peace had reigned within the Aster walls for near nine centuries since the fall of Seleucar; longer, truly, than the age of that venerable empire itself. This all changed when the death of Duke Pontelius Aurachias Mauvellio Aster led to a crisis of inheritance among the inhabitants. Whilst its castle cleric sought answers from the Divine, its guard captain sent letters to the knights of the realm. A solution came in the reestablishment of the Guild of Knights to serve as new protectorate of the Aster Town.
