For centuries, the Shallamese University was a centre of culture and learning for Jewel of the East. It was renovated twice, a meditation pond added and its library expanded to hold books on many subjects. Students from other lands visited its halls to study and and, with the city's adoption of Alchemy, an astronomy tower was eventually raised there study the stars.
The university met its end in the early 7th century, the first of many buildings to be destroyed with the invasion and fall of Shallam.
