Ironbeard

Ironbeard the Magnanimous was a rotund, benevolent Dwarf on a mission to deliver heavy, iron-link giftbags containing gold, vials, and other surprises to adventurers. His scruffy, grey beard did little to hide his fondness for strong ale. He wore a simple but elegant outfit of dark trousers, a long-sleeved white tunic belted with thick black rope, and a suede vest, topped off with a slightly tattered, chocolate-coloured hat with a wide brim. Across his broad back, he carried a canvas satchel that bulged with assorted shapes. Tucked beneath the satchel within easy reach was his trusty dwarven battleaxe, etched with curious sigils on its shining double blades.

Ironbeard's presence was often preceded by the rowdy notes of a drinking song. The most fortunate of adventurers heard him declare, "Far better to give than to receive!" as he gave them a giftbag. Then, with a crooked smile and a rub of his stomach, he would fade into nothingness, leaving behind only the sound of a distant belch.
