Calcite comes in the tiniest specks. Soft and subtle shades of yellow and cream colour the stone and the minuscule edges cause it to glitter. Consuming the mineral causes air to quickly issue forth from one's pores, creating a bubble of air when under-water, preventing drowning.

Calcite is coequal to the herb prickly pear.
