Antreus Atreide was a [[Qui'anar]], Oracle of Death, and Praesum Terrae of the Sylvan Guild, an influential secretary whose long life spanned from the founding of the Disciples of Death—established by his mother Kayna among other forerunners from the Age of Landmarking during the Darkenwood crisis—following the prophet Fortyr, the liberation, establishment of the Divine Order of Thoth, and ultimate demise of Thoth at the hands of Slith and his Tsol'teth conspirators. A Druid prodigy taught by the renowned Raes Longshanks, Antreus was asked to help structure and guide the Sylvan Guild’s apprenticeship program in 329 AF, when the Druid Krel Kalvar of the Divine Order of Agatheis founded the Guild in Eleusis. Later named Oracle of Death in 330 AF, Antreus became a mystagogue and early evangelist within the Disciples of Death, guiding generations of Sylvans into embracing Death as part of Nature's sacred cycle in the absence of the Earthmother and helping steer the Divine Order of Thoth away from Mhaldor’s Malevolence toward balance and renewal, culminating in the establishment of a Forest beneath the Obelisk of Souls on Mhaldors Isle. Though often embroiled in bitter political conflicts within Eleusis because Lord Aegis was allied with Lord Sartan—where his loyalty to Death and defense of shrines drew scrutiny and opposition—his legacy as a teacher, reformer, and theological bridge between Death and the forestal way endured. His efforts, alongside his family and fellow Qui'anar, culminated under Speaker Landon in Thoth’s election as Patron of Eleusis, ensuring the Qui'anar tradition would flourish long after his departure into hermitage. Together with his wife Anoshia Saer'rac, he also designed the Gaian Vale, a subdivision in Eleusis that reflected their vision of forestal beauty surveyed with reverence for the surrounding Zaphar river valley.
