An adventurer may formally acknowledge friends for whom he or she feels attached to that person by affectionate feelings or other personal regard. The status is formalised when friends have mutually added the adventurer to their list as well. Adventurers may initially have twenty mutually-recognised friends at a time. Purchasing the artefact called a circle of friends permit will increase the number in increments of five per permit purchased.
