The smell of Ashtan
Makes me reach for the ginseng,
Sick with nausea.
I check my pockets
on the Prelatorian-
Those slick Ashtanites.
The Seadog Tavern-
where I had my few first drinks,
Passed out in Ashtan.
From Caspian's Walk
I stumble to the Descent
Through the alleyway.
Ashtan can be nice-
(The Golden Walk, the garden)
But is often not.
