In an autocracy, one person assumes leadership of an organization, usually a house, and keeps it until he or she is defeated by another member of the same organization. A leader of an autocratic organization may or may not, depending on the structure of said organization, be limited to serving just one consecutive term, or may serve a term of fixed length.
