Emperor Rakmarkha III ruled the troll city of Kasmarkin deep within the Mannaseh Swamp. The empire increased in wealth and power and Rakmarkha became greedy, seeking wealth and greater control over the people. As the troll senate, led by Senator Schlastan, began to usurp his power in an effort to preserve the empire's integrity, Emperor Rakmarkha began to dabble in the occult. After contacting an enigmatic entity he referred to as the Unborn Goddess, the Emperor unlocked the power to summon the demon Lord Taug.
