The Shrine of Ascension is the site at which Sarapis raised the Aldar Maya to godhood at the close of the Chaos Wars. It was also at this location that in Miramar, 395 A.F., hundreds of Achaeans gathered to witness the merging of Maya with Makali, Goddess of Destruction, to become Maya, the Great Mother, as Sarapis passed to Her the mantle of Creator.
Now the highest peak in the Siroccian Mountain range, the shrine was elevated by Maya to watch over the nearby peaks of Mount Callisto and Mount Sinope, named for Her children.
