Soon gaining a reputation as the hired best blade on Sapience, he was contracted by Castomira to assassinate Catarin de Sangre, though became infatuated with her before carrying out the contract, and joined her forces (against those of her brother, [[Mycale de Sangre]]). Enraged at this betrayal Castomira hired Trenton Deis as his replacement, ordering him to kill first Lucaine then Catarin.
