Those who practice propagation focus on altering their own physical state through the power of nature. Able to assume the form of the mighty Viridian, the adept propagator shall find themselves able to alter all aspects of their body, granting many beneficial changes.
In addition, those that truly master the Viridian shall find that nature can be both lethal as well as benign. These rare individuals are able to cause death with naught but a single touch, and are feared appropriately.
The skill of Propagation is available to members of the Sylvan class, along with Groves and Weatherweaving.
Abilities in Propagation
Viridian | Become a mighty viridian.
Syntax: | ASSUME VIRIDIAN [STAFF]
Required: | 200 mana | |
Works against: | Self | |
Cooldown: | 4.00 seconds of equilibrium
Details: | Meaning 'green' in an ancient language, a Viridian is a living, walking embodiment of the flora of the land. Upon casting this spell, you will quickly transform into one as thorny vines cover your body and burrow into your flesh. You will become stronger, able to endure more damage, and gain a protective bonus to physical damage done to you however your movements will be slightly hampered. HUMAN will allow you to change back into your normal form. Be aware that remaining in this form is a constant drain on your willpower. * STAFF option may be added to allow transformation into the mighty Viridian in areas that are not normally conducive to plant growth. |
Thornrend | Rend your foes with your lethal vines.
Syntax: | SECRETE SAP THORNREND <target>
Required: | 80 mana | |
Works against: | Adventurers and denizens
Cooldown: | 3.00 seconds of equilibrium
Details: | You may now lash the flesh of your foes with your thorny vines, doing damage. If you have learned the TARGETING ability in Weaponry, you may optionally direct your thornrend at a specific body part, causing additional damage to an arm, leg, the head, or the torso of your opponent. If you have gained the ENVENOM ability in Weaponry then you may envenom your arms, which will deliver a venom to your target when you thornrend. Otherwise, you may SECRETE SAP to coat your arms in a single application. |
Targeting | Aiming your blows at specific body parts.
Syntax: | TARGET <body part> (HEAD|TORSO|RIGHT/LEFT ARM|RIGHT/LEFT LEG|NOTHING)
Details: | With this ability, you will be able to target specific body parts on your opponent. Because this requires more precise timing on your part, the sheer damage you can do is reduced. However, by lacerating these body parts with your lethal vines, you can cause damage to them that is more difficult to cure than simple broken bones. For instance, a limb may be able to be beaten into uselessness, which requires a restoration salve to fix (and which does not get fixed immediately). Attacks to the torso will produce internal bleeding, while attacks to the head will produce a concussion. TARGET NOTHING will turn targeting off. |
Propagate | Enhance yourself with nature's bounty.
Syntax: | PROPAGATE <HEAD
Required: | 200 mana | |
Works against: | Self | |
Cooldown: | 2.50 seconds
Details: | This is the core of the propagator's strategy. While in Viridian form, you are able to propagate one of either your head, body, arms, or legs with a plant. As you progress in propagation, you will learn to utilise more plants in this way. Each plant conveys a different benefit depending on the location you grow it. Returning to human form will remove all of your propagations. |
Bloodroot | One of the most widely used herbs.
