From the arid and desolate wastelands
To the tide of the rippling sea,
Hath the stroke of the iron chastened
The souls of both you and me.
Out of the fires it came,
The steel that binds us all.
A hundred or more causes fighting.
All bearing a dragon's fang.
Though we each cry with different voices,
The torch that we bear is the same.
From Ashtan to the jeweled city, Shallam
It's a star that shines like the sun
To the proud and inpregnable Vashnars
And uniting all Sapience as one.
Whether high, or the depths of the earth,
The blade is a bridge for us all.
Tempered by fires of war,
We're bearing a dragon's fang
That has rescued the lives of the poor
And by evil the innocent slain.
Our saviour and, alas, our curse
To accept is to forfeit out lives.
So know the fate that is worse:
To believe, or have evil abide.
The defenseless have risen against it
While warriors live on their knees.
The seal of all we believe in
We carry a dragon's fang
Parting all righteous from evil,
To bring hope, or still fear in the land.
Sapience is tempered by steel
Through the countless lives once been killed
And the sword is still held high above them
As together, we all hold the hilt.
Fire of justice and malice,
We carry a dragons fang
Our causes shall never be silenced
Until we lie still in our graves!
