Seril, a Shastaan merchant originates from the village of Shastaan, and has put aside his old life as a fisherman to enter the merchant business within the Martei Memorial Tradepost. Taking the oppurtunity to learn trading by trial and error, the mixed results are overseen by his wife Maerlyle.
