Concealed within the Aalen Forest is the mysterious Saiha'balan Grotto.
History
When the ancient Tsol'aa settled within the Aalen, none knew of their existance. Remaining hidden within the redwoods for centuries, it was not until Haidion forged a path through the mountains that both the Aalen forest and the village of the Tsol'aa were discovered. Mere hours before the coming of Haidion, the Oracle received word from Sarapis in the form of a vision. Tybatha saw their village overrun with locusts, their homes infested and their lives permanently altered.
Secluding herself within the grotto, Tybatha refused to leave on the basis that her old home was now tainted. It was not long before Tybatha started to speak of the ancient prophecy found within the grotto, and soon her words inspired others to join her. There they remain, awaiting the coming of Sarapis and the prophecy to be fulfilled.
The Reveal
In the year 572 AF, a cowled figure wandered Sapience muttering of prophecy and deception. Soon after the appearance of the strange figure, a bright light soon burst through the canopy of the Aalen Forest to bathe it in a dim glow. As quickly as it came, the light soon vanished and was replaced by the disturbing wail of a panicked woman. These were the wails of Tybatha, who had been inconceivably tricked. She explained that the figure espied earlier was once a devout member of the community, but had become bitter and bent on revenge for perceived wrongs and betrayals. Tybatha explained how the woman had released the formidable power contained within the grotto, endangering the surrounding forest and revealing the reclusive assemblage to the outer world. In thanks for the help of strangers from afar, Tybatha gave her blessing to those who wished to enter the sacred grotto.
