Lord Makarta once led the Ivory Mark, the organisation dedicated to avenging those unable to do so for themselves, in the fishing town of Jaru. Day after day could be found dressed in a stunning suit of ivory armour as he stood outside the home of the Ivory Mark on Bridge Street. Makarta was mentored by the assassin Callibius, and for a time he took on Derillin Yu'tar as a protege, who later revealed himself to be Callibius' son.
Makarta was passed the Blade of the Masters by his mentor Callibius. He held onto it for many years, until it was stolen and cursed by Derillin in 401 AF, resulting in the creation of the arena game, Champions vs Assassins.
During the year 446, Lord Makarta was murdered while attending a wedding at the Scarlattan Theatre in Delos. Naoise, the liquor merchant, came upon a scene and began yelling, alerting adventurers to the incident. Those present were witness to the verbal taunts of a shadowy, cloaked figure who was later linked to the Quisalis Mark.
