The Empyreal Assembly, formerly called the Priests is one of the oldest organisations in Achaea, and the details of their formation is mostly lost in history. Along with the Templars (more recently, the Paladins and the Guardians of Light) the Priests formed the two major arms of the Church of Achaea. The Priests once made their home with the rest of the Church in Delos, but have since moved with the Basilica to Shallam, where they remain a loyal organisation of that city. In the Modern age, the guild of the Priests was founded by Odysseus in 178AF. The guild became a House in 396AF. The organisation is devoted to the tenets of honour, service, and wisdom as well as the ideals of order, righteousness, and light.
Originally, only those of the Priest class were allowed to join, however in the year 403, they began to allow membership to those of the Paladin class. They have gradually increased the number of allowed classes since that time. The skills of the Priest class evolved slowly over the history of the organisation, developed after specific events and derived older practices. The skills of Spirituality, for example, were gifted to the ancient Priests by the Hierarchs of Celestia after being judged worthy of having angels as guardians. Devotion is derived from the ancient Rites of the Holy Church, and exists today as more a compact version of the older one.
The Empyreal Assembly's house tutor is Marhisa, Priestess of Virtue.
Their icon, the Amber Chalice, has fallen.
