The Zarathustran Eagle is the current city guardian of Ashtan, being birthed through the merger of the soul of Zarathustra and the Guardian of Chaos to mend the damaged Well of Chaos. It has the ability to fly, which is somewhat unusual for city guardians, but is also a bit weaker as a result.

Zarathustran eagles have been featured as charges in Ashtani heraldry and other symbology since long before the Modern Age. Depictions of symbolic eagles bearing broken manacles have been found on hoplite armour dating from the third cycle of the Ashtan-Shallam Wars.
