Patron is a term used to refer to the Divinity of choice for a person or organisation. In the case of an organization, the Patron will show up on the respective help file (usually HELP ORGANIZATIONNAME), and said Divinity is responsible for overseeing the affairs of the organisation. In the case of an individual, it refers to the Divinity whose Divine Order they belong to.
