When lands around the Crown of the Ithmia shattered during events leading up to discovery of the [[Wellspring]], the resulting [[Sunderlands]] became infested with aggressive spectres which haunt the area to this day. Hashan's enterprising alliance with the [[Tsol'teth]] armed the city to shackle some of the beings, pressing them into service as [[spectres of the Shadow Court|city guards]].
