The Lesser Shrine of Vastar was a nunnery which also housed an exclusive girls' academy around the time of the Wars of Succession. It was here that Catarin deSangre roomed for three years with both Castomira Brangwin, the Duchess of Aster Malik, and Riana Galford, second daughter of the Earl of Jaru, during their childhoods.
After the cataclysm which followed the fall of the Seleucarian Empire, a band of survivors took refuge in the ruins of the academy, renaming it the Seat of Vastar.
