Taralis, the Dyissan Queen, is the half-breed leader of the Dyissan people, her body that of a serpent from the waist down and a young human woman from the waist up. She spends her time in her private sanctuary in the Caves of Delmarin, a gory room decorated with fungi-covered, dwarven skulls and statues of massive Dyissan warriors with glowing red, mysterious gems for eyes. Like other members of her race, she dislikes outsiders, especially Dwarves.
