Culture
Unlike the Vertani who went to war with the cities of Ashtan and Mhaldor, the inhabitants of Tir Murann are peaceful. Vertani guards who patrol the area welcome "smalling" visitors with a reminder that the village is their last safe haven, and they plan to make sure it stays that way.
Tir Murann inhabitants did not support the leadership of the Vertani empire who declared war, and have come to Sapience to seek a new life. They still maintain, however, many of the military traditions of Vertani culture including a unique house system.
Notable Locations
- Ascendant's Choice bar and restaurant
- The last Vertan fortress
- The animal paddocks
Flora and Fauna
There are multiple species of native Vertan creatures that have been brought to Tir Murann, including the powerful, zebra-striped moirahs, the scaled, lizard-like xabats, and the massive gours. The only noticably absent Vertan creature is the winged kalyuga.
The flora appears to be native to Sapience, rather than imported from Vertan and includes goldenseal wildflowers, lady's slipper plants, bayberry trees, and hawthorn bushes.
