The Flame of Yggdrasil is a six-foot tall eternal, heatless flame found in a cave in Yggdrasil west of the Black Forest. It was created unimaginably far back in pre-history when Agatheis, the Elemental Lord, was still tinkering with elemental control. A Divine experiment gone awry, the Flame of Yggdrasil proves an asset to mortals nonetheless, as it holds the power of resurrection for corpses immolated within.

In the year 208 AF, the scourging of Sapience during the Morning Star event and the resulting resurrection of the land by Oneiros resulted in the rediscovery of the path which leads to to the Flame of Yggdrasil.

New adventurers to the realm enter the Flame of Yggdrasil in order to undertake the Trial of Rebirth where they learn more about the realms.
