Kelley succeeded her father, Lian, after he died, taking over as mayor of Mysia. One of her more noteable changes was to open the port to outsiders, bringing new life to the pirate cove.

The vast majority of the island respects her leadership, but Jarvace, the adopted son of Lian, resents it, as well as her love affair with the Tsol'aa mage, Cassian.
