'''Seril, a Shastaan merchant''' originates from the village of [[Shastaan]], and has put aside his old life as a fisherman to enter the merchant business within the [[Martei Memorial Tradepost]]. Taking the oppurtunity to learn trading by trial and error, the mixed results are overseen by his wife [[Maerlyle]].

 

Seril is also a known member of the [[The Vigil]], a group studying the elements and was a profund effect in the elemental war and finding the lost elementals of [[Aldar]] [[Dekalb]].
