A totem of unlife is a slender, artefact wooden pole cleverly attuned to seek adventurer life force in the dismal plane that is the Underworld. Touching the totem whilst standing next to an entrance or exit to the undead plane will yield a list of all in the Underworld. The act is a double-edged sword; the unwitting adventurers on its list are instantly alerted to their loss of anonymity.
