A whisper gave me the rememberance

When Two were One Horrid Malevolence

And breathed into me a voice like a chime

That I should celebrate things aforetime:

Let us begin our singing from the Lords

That Haunt Baelgrim Fortress whose Fog affords

No calm nor respite for meager plantlife,

The forestals our enemies, our strife,

But one Evil warped oak should grow in hate,

Which now as Mhaldor's tool we celebrate.

'Tis Manitou,' spoke Hwolf, 'whose single seed

Grows into a massive oak and indeed

The Evil of the Island warps the tree.'

Know now it had these queer attributes three:

Not sap of tree, but blood from it should seep,

Pungent, intoxicating, thick of keep,

Those who come in contact with it would find

Foul visions, now kept secret and malign

And the blood's smell made Mhaldor's people sick,

With it's nauseous pungent demeanor thick.

Know too that it soon would begin to poach

Some souls from those foolish who would approach;

Sick hobby, what it began to collect

That still strikes great fear in those They subject.

All could see the tree's animosity,

Animalistic, attacked the city;

Lashed out at some, even tried to consume,

So the folk called to bring about its doom.

Said Vadimuses 'Wait! I will assure'

'It only attacks those whose hearts are pure!'

Indeed it's a boon from the Lord erupt

A reminder to keep your soul corrupt!

Spoke Hwolf 'I can not bring my sword to it,'

'Though it's vicious it is for us a gift'

'Something not of this world has granted this'

'To aid in our war against good and bliss.'

That day on its trunk we placed Mhaldor's oath,

So all could read, from slave to leader both.

The tree's a symbol now of Evil's might,

Strong and everlasting through any light;

Known from Shala-Khulia past Tundra's rolls,

Kneel, pledge at The Avenue of Trapped Souls.
