1. Hall of Ice
--------------

Tiles of tinted ice
glimmer and shine bright.
Distant, soft music
fills you with delight.

Centred in the square:
a fountain of ice.
The corners' artists
all sculpted precise.

A lyre, yellow,
a delicate shade:
heart of the fountain,
forever to stay.

A hall of beauty
sets the scene so strong
to crown the temple
where all art belongs.

What better entrance
to the place holy
to the Great Bard,
our Lord Scarlatti?

2. Touch of Winter
------------------

Winter's fingers drip with water
as they linger under eaves.
On the ground a glassy sheet;
his tender touch is soon revealed.

Winter's arms embrace the world,
enfold her in his snowy care.
The shimmering blanket warms our hearts,
and of his love we're made aware.

And very gently winter's breath
will decorate the windows as
he slowly breathes his art into
the frosty flowers on the glass.
