As I explored the island of Mysia fair, I met an old pirate with certain flair He spoke all day without a care, Of adventures and gossip and treasures rare. He asked for but one thing and called it fair: A sip of rum, he didn't care from where. And so I paid his simple fare, And with me his stories he did share. He told me of pirates on the sea somewhere, And spoke of Jarvace and his affair. And of how Kelley became the mayor And how she and Cassian were quite a pair. To interrupt, I did not dare, So I listened intently and pulled up a chair. I was good and caught within his snare And as time passed I was left unaware. So I sat enraptured in his lair, As he laid his experience before me bare. His tale of the pirates gave me quite the scare, And I hung on his words as he recounted his brother's prayer. And when he was done I could do naught but stare At this experienced pirate with his Grey beard and hair.
