[Prelude - solo cadenza]
Were it not for the shining motes gracing night's vision,
Elegant as it were, the Vault continuing its dance,
Were it not for a holly sprig blown, north, or south,
Unimportant as it were, its route only perchance,
How would I know it was Logosmas,
When my foes pay this morn no regard?
Like Siroccian soil, ages old is my toil,
Singing bells merely gild my guard.
Singing bells bring no rest for this bard.
[Verse one - solo]
Logosmas bells filled the city,
Not ceasing for Suffering's seige,
Reminding the guards of the season,
Who faithfully fought for their Leige.
An orphan forgotten in Chaos
Ignored Shallam's fierce infidels.
[Spoken]This child looked at me, so hopeful, beseeching.
Whence came the song of the bells?
[Chorus - full choir]
Blizzard of Logosmas, christens us all,
Each earth-ward blown teardrop like lace,
Staining white crimson, our treadfall of honour,
For Willing yet walk oft in grace.
The Four in Their Majesty guiding us on,
Integrity we must preserve.
With Logosmas bells singing merrily yet,
Celestial peals we will serve.
[Verse two - solo]
These bells were muted for a time.
Instead, the air rang with steel.
A warrior's soul, a layman's form,
Beside him all tripped in Thoth's reel.
Then off in the distance, a tolling of silver
Filtered through raiders' farewells.
[Spoken] So tired, he wept, for the sound mocked his soul.
Whence came the song of the bells?
[Repeat chorus]
[Coda - solo]
With Logosmas bells singing merrily yet,
A death knell, our foes will deserve.
