Atop the Great Rock, devouring the light
Was a statue known as a terrible sight
Lord Sartan, called by some a great blight
Paid tribute in stone, cast in all his might
One day it rose, stepping down with unlife
This embodiment of true evil and strife
Made way to Shallam, its stone visage rife
With malice and hatred, for this city of pure life.
Clearing the path with hatred-fueled fists
Seemingly cloaked with the Mhaldorian mists
Its objective: That Shallam should no longer exist.
The valiant defenders rallied at the gate,
The horrible statue fueled by pure hate
The defenders knew there was no way to placate
This horrible statue, evil yet great.
Swords flew through the air and sparks filled the sky
As Magi and Paladins took their first try
Priestly magics flew to revive those who died
And to watch the gallant struggle could bring a tear to my eye.
At last, a blow landed and stopped the bloodbath,
The statue halted, right there in the path,
It clove right in two, such was the power of Carmell's wrath.
But the battle was not done, for the statue's voice boomed
"You've broken me, true, but my death not assume,
What breaks me, you see, will seal all your dooms!"
With that being said, red fog filled the room
Evil red daemons, freed from their cage
Flew all around, expressing their rage
But with the defenders all massing, the strong and the sage,
The daemons fell quickly, though a fierce battle they waged.
And thus was the story of the gallant defenders
The statue was powerful but the heroes never surrendered,
Even the daemons, were returned to their sender.
