Here is a little Logosmas song I call "Logosmas, We Know". I wrote it
to thank Lord Sarapis during this, His holiday season, for the twin
gifts of sapience and Sapience. It doesn't make a bad poem, either.
You just have to imagine the tune. Spoken bits are in parentheses.
Logosmas, We Know
The world is a forest of Logosmas trees.
Holly is swaying with every breeze.
Each swain gives his honey a kiss and a squeeze
Underneath ... the mistletoe.
It's Logosmas ... we know!
Every 30 years we hear it,
Revel in the cheery spirit.
Strangers give egg nog to folk that they meet.
Chocolate sovereigns are found on the street.
People from Mhaldor and Shallam may greet
With a friendly hello.
(Or a Candy Cane blow.)
It's Logosmas ... we know!
Every 30 years we hear it,
Revel in the cheery spirit.
Stockings are hanging in every conceivable location.
(And a few others.)
Filling them up has become an alternative vocation.
You can give coal to an enemy without recrimination
Or pile up your sweetie-pie's with provender for planned inebriation
(Try saying that while drunk!)
So ...
Enjoy the scenery while it is here,
Immerse yourself in the Holiday cheer,
And thank Lord Sarapis, The Logos that we're
even here to sow it.
It's Logosmas ... we know!
We know!
(Happy Logosmas, everyone!)
