Meteors blaze across an amber sky,
To a chorus of screams and swords,
Man upon man takes his place to die,
In the service of his lords.
Do the leaders of these knights and spies,
Pay their memories a passing nod?
No, they pay them empty words and lies,
In service of the one true God.
One leader claims valour, the other oppression,
Each wishing to wipe out the "Blight",
Neither side willing to make a concession,
But each always willing to fight.
Whether Infernal or Paladin,
Whether Occultist or Priest,
Remember your leaders, remember their fallacies,
Lest you turn from man into beast.
Meteors blaze across an amber sky,
A captain weeps as he loses his squad,
Man upon man still lines up to die,
In service of the One true god.
