A brief debate among friends on the mortal races led to the following short composition, which roughly recreates the discussion with some artistic license taken by the author.

Xo: Of all the races, mine is best.

Mh: Surely, my Xoran friend, you jest.

Si: Of course he does, as all can see,

I am the fairest of the three.

Dw: Fair is fair, lass, all too true.

But see, I am more stout than you.

Gr: How is girth an attribute?

Intellect makes this quarrel moot.

Ts: You're fairly smart, but I would trade

Puddles for Redwoods any day.

Xo: Of all the races, mine is best.

Hu: I believe that point has been addressed.

Balance is the crucial factor.

Sa: Folly! It takes horns to be an actor;

For the world is but a stage!

At: Better than a gilded cage.

Mh: The cage may keep you safe from her.

Ra: Don't get me started, cave-dweller.

Rajas are ferocious beasts!

Hu: But not as strong as trollish priests.

Tr: Sumbuddy says Troll! I know I hears it.

Troll so big all udder fears it!

At: It may be best to let that slide.

Ho: We Horkvals take tremendous pride

In our combat abilities.

Dw: Och! Nothing more than frivolities.

I'll teach ye to swing an axe.

Ho: Or where to find the ale and snacks?

Si: Now, now boys. Give it a rest.

Xo: Of all the races, mine is best.
