A Daughter dearest, pure as Flame,
Once borne of tears of joy,
Screaming out Her Mother's name
Then broken like a toy.
Trisagia, struck cold with grief,
She sang a broken tune;
And mortals first beheld that eve
The waxing sanguine moon.
The Tyrant stormed Her homeworld,
No mercy in His wake.
Destruction past Makali's scale;
Both Light and Chaos quaked.
The rallied Gods, a sight to spy,
Across the Garden strewn
And silhouetted red by
The bright, full sanguine moon.
The denouement - the Tyrant speared,
And Sapience at peace;
The Lady Moon's new barren tears,
A shallow, crude release.
Though as She bears this wrenching crime,
Fresh Inspiration blooms;
A beacon for the mourning shines
The waning sanguine moon.[[Category:Merit]
