Kalden, Guardian of the Veil is a spirit tasked with the preservation of the veil that separates the Spirit Realm from the Prime Material Plane. He was an instrumental figure in mending the tear in the veil in the year 669AF, which not only resulted in the advent of Spiritlore (at the cost of Runelore) for Shamans across the realm, but also set in motion events leading to the Sundering of the Crown.
An ally of the now disbanded Spirit Walkers of Hashan, they were permitted to summon him using a ceremonial lighting of the World Totem within the Fortress of the Spirit Walkers, to tell them such cautionary tales as the Jade Icon saga, the Nurazar saga, and the Eternal Night saga.
