The [[Cartographer's Desk]] is one of the few pieces of equipment which may be purchased for [[Ships]]. The desk is designed to hold a number of [[maps | nautical maps]] which are used by the captain and crew of the vessel to estimate distance and direction to the [[Seamark]] for which they are scribed. The desk is built from a dark cherry and a layer of cork covers the top surface, while drawers are fashioned within the desk to hold charting equipment. Also, there is a compartment for storing the other maps that are not in use.
