Impaleslash is an ability in the TwoArts skillset possessed by the Blademaster class, only usable when an enemy adventurer has been pierced with Impale. When used a victim will become 'impaleslashed' for thirty seconds, requiring much more mana to clot than normal. This affliction is incurable for its duration.

Ability Info

Syntax: IMPALESLASH

When an opponent writhes impaled upon your blade, with this technique you may carve through vital organs, causing severe internal bleeding and hampering your enemy's ability to clot their wounds.

Usage

Impaleslash is commonly used to prepare a target for Brokenstar. Most adventurers will be able to keep their bleeding under 600 (Brokenstar's threshold) with extensive clotting, even after suffering multiple applications of Bladetwist. Impaleslash increases the cost of bleeding to such heights that even adventurers with massive mana pools will be unable to keep from being slain with Brokenstar. Setups for Brokenstar thus almost always include an Impaleslash near the beginning in order to maximize the value of the bleeding to follow.

A quick Blademaster can Impaleslash an adventurer without breaking any limbs. This technique is known as 'pre-impaleslashing,' and sets the stage for a second Impale (this time with broken limbs) and a series of Bladetwists for massive bleeding.
