Star-shot is a unit of ship ammunition which, when fired from an onager, causes adequate damage to personnel and minor damage to hull and sails of a target ship. Star-shot consists of five flat bands of heavy iron joined in a star shape about a bundle of wooden rods and, when coated with dragon's tears, will cause the target ship to catch fire on impact.
