The '''Amber Chalice''' is the [[:Category:Houses|House]] [[Icon]] of the [[Empyreal Assembly]]. It takes the shape of a ritual chalice carved from a single, enormous piece of amber, placed on top of a plain, uncarved block of dove-grey stone. The basin of the chalice is filled with a cool, pale mist that spills over the brim, imparting a sense of calm and well-being to those that come into contact with it. Pictograms depicting the five elemental channels - air, fire, water, earth and spirit - have been incised upon the chalice's outer surface, and punctuated with bright gemstones.

Like all true icons, it resides on the desolate plane of [[Nishnatoba]]. The Chalice was destroyed during the Icon Wars between [[Shallam]] and [[Mhaldor]], a prolonged engagement that lead to the destruction of all of the Icons of the Great Houses of Shallam. It was raised again in recent years.
